So fix the fucking roof guys, it's literally a national treasure.
Technically a provincial treasure, but yeah. I have fond memories of going there as a kid.
This is what bothers me the most about the closure. It impacts many kids. Nearly every kid within 2-3 hrs of the center gets a chance to go on a field trip there. Now that will be taken away and their voices won't be heard, many won't even know what they are missing.
"National treasure" doesn't prescribe a jurisdiction.
If that's what it takes, maybe the public needs a kneecapping department for government accountability.
I'd volunteer for this department any day of the week.
How about we just around kneecapping billionaires, instead?
This is the only way they could extract the value of the site and pass it on to wealthy donors.
Ford never had any intention to keep the science center, in its current location or ontario place. The roof was just the justification to bulldoze the site for the ~~sale~~lease.
