not in any of the drawers. I checked each one about 4 times.

Don't worry it'll turn up when you buy another one.

I will be moving in with my mother and consolidating households in the near future, so at this stage I am not buying anything I can do without for a short period. So I'll be pushing in corks for a few months then either find it in the move or just use mum's. I'll add it with the broken beaters to the list I need to make sure mum doesn't declutter!

It's stuck with its magnet half way down the garbage chute

If you understand this, we're cool.. cool cool cool.

Dad: Into the wine bottle... got a swiss army knife in a drawer somewhere?

[โ€“] [email protected] 2 points 5 months ago

Cork was pushed into the bottle. Alas I have no swiss army knife. I have a suspicion I may have overzealously decluttered it thinking it was a spare.

The cat is sitting on it of course

She is currently curled in her favourite hanging basket. Obviously I can't wake her up to check but it seems highly unlikely she would have stolen the corkscrew and managed to carry it up there. She's only little and has no teeth for gripping such things.

I have checked both the cupboard which collects random tools that should mostly be outside and the pegboard storage areas where screwdrivers are and there is no corkscrew โ˜น๏ธ

My cutlery sits in a pot on a shelf. I did check the shelf it is on and the one above it (which houses the teapot). No corkscrew โ˜น๏ธ

Check your handbag. And then the glove box of the car.
