Imagine if there is 4 tracks, and one of them is linked to a lever that kills 5 people, but by doing so it's pulling a second lever that saves 3 people, who then are able to pull a third lever to direct the trolley to yet another track, that then kills 4 people. But the three people are actually trolleys operator who are able to stop the trolley, but only if they get a pay raise. They could get a pay raise by putting back the first lever, but then one of the 3 people would come back from the death to kill the 5 people.
