Genuinely curious, how do you feel about the Episcopal Church, the Unitarian Church, and a couple more, actively providing LGBTQ services, advocating for inclusivity, and sometimes even lobbying for legislation for equal rights? When organized religion is on the right side of history and using the strength of a collective organization, still trying to influence people but in a good way, do you feel it’s acceptable?

I think it’s better this way. Less likely to be painted as a victim of persecution.

I don’t know man. I’ve worked for executives who talk that way and I’ve worked for executives whose vision actually makes you excited and want to be onboard. She just sounds like one who is all tall. Although, I try not to judge from an out of context snippet.

Where can we find expense information? I just donated but I would love to see transparent financial data. Maybe it’s already out there I just couldn’t find it…

Outsized influence means outsized regulation. Every small outlet should be able to publish completely as they please. The bigger one gets and the more limited resources one takes (from the traditional radio spectrum to modern social media front page real estate), the more one should be subject to fair regulation. The fairness doctrine needs to come back now more than ever.

My feeling is that is what they wanted to solve. There might be multiple ground floors due to this being a big building and most likely have entrances at different levels. Maybe both the Lobby and Concourse have entrances. I’m just guessing. But even if this is true, it doesn’t make it any less hideous in their execution…

Less of an AMA, more of a AMOTQABMPT. Ask Me Only The Questions Approved By My PR Team (but I still managed to fuck up.)

I run into the issue of people randomly using hashtags. For example, I follow #reddit, but then all I see is porn. And if I search for, say, MKBHD, then I see at least two dozen of them. Some are "legit" retweeting bots, others are just impersonators. I've been trying to use Mastodon since a couple months back but I never really got into it. We need more persons of significance and media outlets to join. I am disappointed that, after NPR quit twitter, they don't have at least some kind of presence on Mastodon.

Originally posted on Reddit but I'm moving to Lemmy. It was originally inspired by a post on r/Europe about the 5th most populous city in every European nation. 5th most populous in every state is kinda boring as it gets pretty small, but 4th is fun. And useless. But fun.
