I've definitely appreciated when certain cool, open minded creators have released content DRM free but they are going against the grain of the big money platforms. But, I agree, like many things that would make the world a little cooler, there's no concrete reason it couldn't be done.

But would it disappear someday without warning? I'm not one to do a lot of pirating but the times I'm most tempted to take up the habit are when things that were supposed to be "purchased" just disappear and there's nothing customers can do about it...or when I see some crazy anti-pirating argument. The urge to do it out of spite is real.

If the influence of ideology is enough to convince you to snipe children in the head, you're still a bad person. Weird take to be presented with children who were shot by a weapon that's purpose built for accuracy and rush to defend the person that pulled the trigger. Edit: grammar

The bug was introduced in ExpressVPN Windows versions 12.23.1 – 12.72.0, published between May 19, 2022, and Feb. 7, 2024, and only affected those using the split tunneling feature.

I used to listen to to The Daily pretty frequently but in the past few years, I have become increasingly frustrated with the quality of journalism. I don't know if they have changed or if I've just become more aware. They're definitely not going to any great lengths to afflict the comfortable.

That makes more sense. Thank you for that added context.

I don't get it. Is Arch the most popular Linux distro at 0.15% of 1.95%? What's missing here? Steam OS?

Oh, I agree. I'm duly impressed. It's just that I immediately thought back to that scene from community. I'm not good about remembering to call out my sarcasm.

Yeah, I was thinking of some of the home goods like knives or silverware. I bought a beard trimmer that could have come in a nice slim box and instead I got enough cardboard and empty space to hold 4 more. For me that has become the norm at Costco and I feel gross every time for participating.

This might seem petty by comparison but I feel like Costco is one of the worst for having wildly oversized packaging with so much wasted material. It hurts a little every time I buy something from them these days. I don't know that I've seen much about it but the additional energy to produce and transport small goods with oversized packaging has to add up, no?

I love Japanese green tea and I've had some luck with Korean green tea as well. But my first true tea love came from roasted oolongs. That is what made me want to explore more and where I learned the value of re-steeping tea. Back in 2020, one my isolation hobbies was trying different teas and learning how to use a gaiwan.
