Are you going to use a dock? You should consider that, too. The case I found did not fit in the official dock.

I was thinking of having the next PC I build be used as a headless game streaming server. That way I could just stream to my Deck or MacBook, I wouldn’t have to setup web browser, download apps, sign into any accounts, etc since it would only be used to stream games.
I’ve never got great performance from any game streaming though
Yeah I’ve got it swapped in macOS and it works but I can’t figure out how to do that on my Steam Deck
GTA V/Online. Just drive around
Would WayDroid qualify as what you’re looking for?
Yes, really haha. I don’t think I would consider the mod list I used heavy, at least not graphically. I didn’t use any of those programs you mentioned.
Trying to get MO2 to launch the Linux version of Skyrim running via Steam/Proton and not the Windows version of Steam running through WINE was a fun mess to deal with
I recall using some sort of script that installed MO2 and handled all of this (at least for the Steam Deck).
Either way, I hope their new cross-platform launcher works out well.
What games are you using it for? I’ve used Mod Organizer 2 for Skyrim SE and it’s worked great on the deck
This is like crowdstrike all over again
I think a lot of people just haven’t heard of Caddy. Since I’ve found it I haven’t used anything else.
I haven’t used EmuDeck since they’ve apparently revamped the installation process, but I think RetroDeck is (or at least was) a much cleaner installation since it’s just a flatpak. I’ve got it installed on my deck and it works fine. Not really using it atm
You could consider using a USB C extension cable. That way you can use the Deck’s built-in controls. I either do that or use my Steam Controller.
I don’t think most controllers are worth their price. I got a Bluetooth Xbox controller once and it was expensive, lacked features, and broke way sooner than it should have.
If you don’t need a wireless controller you can get a Logitech F310 for pretty cheap and I find those nice to use, but they don’t have trackpads.
Exciting! I remember commenting about the next Steam Deck being ARM a couple months ago and a few people replied that it was unlikely haha
Hope this can work in Asahi Linux at some point too 👀
