Avelon is super cool, i really like it and how it's unique and different

Wouldn’t necessarily make changes off of it, would just be curious

I’m not very familiar with the iOS guidelines but try to refer to them sometimes. Are there any glaring issues you are aware of that Memmy has, with the guidelines, or is it more a lot of small things? I imagine it’s easier to stay within guidelines while using SwiftUI/UIKit but maybe it’s not.

Not sure we’ll add this, neither gk nor i like that behavior but then we’d have to make sure it works during testing constantly. It would just be another thing for us to maintain that we don’t use lol. There are cool apps that do that like Avelon though

Yea good call its being disabled now. Gk enabled it back when there were no iPad apps, so I think the idea was for there to just be something for iPad users to use. But since there are so many issues with it its not worth having anymore.

Pretty sure I had it in Appearance and people complained that it should be in Content lol. Idk what the best option is.

Ugh can't even replicate it now. Maybe it was an issue with lemmy.world status. If that's the case then yea we are not handling something well to just tell the user it's down. Or maybe the post got removed, I'm not sure.

Thanks, looks like [email protected] has the offending post. Gonna take a look and see if we can improve the error handling. Also an interesting thought, i didn’t think about lemmy.world going down could be the cause.

We don’t officially support iPad - we are doing 0 testing for iPad. Use at your own risk.
