Ninja Central went paid only, all free accounts have been deleted, even if it was once paid in the past.

New accounts are now 14days trials.

20U$ per year, 50U$ for 3 years. There are no free accounts, only 10day trials that requires an invite when they are not open.

If somebody has access to their discord, please post there asking them to read their admin email? Asking for a friend, but thank you very much if you can do that.

They do have some "uniques", specially non-English content.

If you were curious, that's a good opportunity to try them out.

Also privacy: SSL downloads and only your Usenet provider knows what you download. Most say they don't log.

Please, with sugar on top: make this a plugin that can be integrated to qbittorrent or rtorrent.

Try to make your idea reach the seedboxes. This would be great for open-tracker seedboxes!

You can also use a socks5 server with container:gluetun and run qbt with 127.0.0.1 socks5. (not allowing it to connect to anything but that address in your firewall settings).

By the way you can do this with absolutely any socks5 supporting software (even browsers, ftp clients, etc).

Just set the firewall to allow the software executable to connect only to localhost/127.0.0.1 and you are done.

It's split tunnel under your control.

Hello, could anybody do me a favor and and send me an invite to CAT?

I am trying to complete my indexers "deck" like crazy, and I am missing this one.

Thank you very much to who can help, I'd be very happy with it!

Some comments:

  • It has some unique content you will not find in both of them, if you are the kind that looks for specific releases.
  • The black Friday deal is usually really worth it.
  • There is no in-site forum, but instead a discord channel. Their "forum" link sends you to their discord.
  • The free account is deleted "after 14 days of inactivity" but it can happen earlier than this.
  • Paid activation happen manually, so, if discord receipt is a privacy nightmare for you, hope they read the e-mail.
  • Performance is ages ahead of dog.
  • Unlike dog, they accept requests for content (via discord) and they really go after it for you, that is really nice.

Overall, it is a mix of both you mentioned, but you will find content there that you will not find on dog and vice-versa. I believe they cover geek well enough. Note that it all depends on what content you are after,

Hi, I've sent you a message with more info about the site, and to invite you if you want. (Since now I joined there)

Hello Lemmy readers!

After one month gathering information about indexers I created this table and I thought It would be nice to make it a markdown and share it here.

The reason to make it was the inconsistency between multiple sources of information (review sites, reddit, hydra github, etc.) and the reality I found in every site. So this table represents the data I found inside the sites themselves between August and today (09/09/2023).

A further note is that I did not add other German sites because they needed invites that I don't have so I couldn't get any info from them (and they are quite local). I also didn't add a French one because it was trying to web-mine.

As the title says, only sites with APIs able to be added to *ARRs are used for this table (excepting the ones omitted).

If you have any doubt, correction or opinion, just comment!

I hope to keep it updated, (or at least release a new one if too much time passes).

Yeah, this table right now is the most updated thing you will find.

I hope you enjoy!

OBSERVATIONS:

  1. This table was last updated 09/09/2023

  2. Data was manually gathered by me from every single listed Indexer... EXCEPT for: NZB.cat and Tabula-Rasa because I couldn't get into them.

  3. PLEASE HELP WITH BETTER INFO IF YOU HAVE IT. Help correcting any inconsistency. I hope to keep the table updated.

  4. Every Indexer that does not accept any type of cryptocurrency accepts PayPal (or is free).

  5. There are some deliberate indexer omissions (mainly: wtf, in, omg and to) because besides not being a member of any of these omitted sites (as I wish I was), I understand that they don't like to be exposed and I respect that. If you represent any site listed that also don't want to be in this table, message me.

  6. Use this info as you wish, just credit the Usenet Lemmy community to help increase its' visibility and share the joy.

  7. For more info on how and why I created this table, read my comment bellow, and be welcome to comment and discuss about the aforementioned indexers.

Denuvo is the apex of a long history of bad choices.

Maybe actually sell us the games in a way we really own it, without any sort of online activation/account/telemetry/data-gathering like when we could buy a disc and just use it, and it should all be ok.

I feel like a dinosaur every-time I think this nowadays, but what is so problematic with the "own as in physically own" that is so hard to implement? If they want to provide a service, sell a service.

In the past I used pirate versions of games I bought just to be able to play them offline, or because I did not agree with the terms of service. It is so much for our info, it goes beyond just knowing you are the real owner of the software copy: it comes to the point where it looks like it's to guarantee we are not its' owner.

Now some DRMs even destroy gaming performance and its just faster to use 'ked versions. I hope it changes somehow.

Hello!

~~Could somebody please send me an invite to~~ DOGnzb? I am interested on it due to its' fame for international content.

I know I have to pay for the indexer, and I will.

EDIT: Received! Thank you very much!!

Hello, I would like some info about VPN usage at private trackers. I know it is a per-tracker policy but I notice many being a bit hostile toward em.

Example: A user would like to join a tracker, put a seedbox to help em seeding et al, but even while they allow VPN usage, they don't allow signup with the VPN on (and that absolutely defeats the reason of not having the user's real IP/time logged to a server that may be somehow attacked or forced to give theirs users details for some reason, even if that never happened before in such server). In that case the user would be de-"pseudonimizing" all their future use of the site via VPN since if their users details ever leak that could bind the future use of the site trough a VPN to the initial non-vpn IP address. This example affects every PHD sister sites, I believe.

So, I have some questions on that issue, if someone could help:

    1. What is the ideal way to proceed in such situation? Are socks5 or other methods better accepted to unbind the use of the tracker site to the user IP address? (I'm talking about the trackers not even being able to handle such information in case something goes wrong. Not about an ISP or whoever else. Legality is not the concern here, but the very existence of the info itself).
    1. Is there any place where we can find this info about trackers policies on VPNs? I did search but never found anything unified.
    1. What trackers you know that simply don't care about the use of VPN? Which ones "don't care" but asks you to tell them (configure) your vpn details? Which ones absolutely don't allow them?

Thanks to anyone who can shed a light on these questions!

Just to share this useful tool and to have it here @Lemmy.

I have never found anything as detailed as this on "retention per provider" analytics. This site allows us to set a newsgroup and check the retention of most providers for the given newsgroup.

I have just used the largest newsgroup available for the linked URL, but you can check any newsgroup and see how the providers behaves on each one, updating every minute.

Yet another update for the backbones map posted before here. Keep in mind that it is still some months old, but was the last one made by this person.

If anybody has updates to its' information, please comment so that we can update the svg ;)

I hope it's usefull! (And don't forget whatsmyuse.net as a reference too…)

So, this is a bit updated version of the tree posted here before: https://lemmy.world/post/1100335 .

I hope it helps, and if somebody can find a newer or add more info to it, It will be great. (never forgetting whatsmyuse.net as a reference too...)

Hello! I would like to better know what you guys think is best in specific indexers. For instance, easynews websearch is good to find a lot (even newly released) shows from both US, UK and DE. I was surprised with the availability of european movies there and it has some good filtering options (ui v2 is just better, looks more like a normal indexer webpage). My example is not the best since easynews is not quite an indexer per si, but could you guys tell what makes your favorite indexers better for you? Is one better organized? Is another good for any specific niche (ie: japanese stuff, or euro shows, or latin american movies or whatever) ? I know it has been asked a lot and written a lot elsewhere, but it could be nice to have some content here @ lemmy too!
