fully agree. the main reason I listen to music with lyrics in any language I cannot immediately understand is to avoid hating the song because of the lyrics. I have stopped listening to many songs because I learned their language and started understanding the lyrics
machinya
that scene was quite hard to read. as much as i love the manga it is sometimes hard to read to the point i suffer in pain the same way the main character does
i'm talking about Adachi to Shimamura of course
my biggest fear is that they might actually change the feeling. as bad as toei's version is and as hated the original artstyle is, it really fits the begining of the series when everything was way simpler than it is now. it would have been better if they adopted one pace and made it official with some redraws here and there, but it was obviously not happening.
as much as i love one piece, having a new adaptation bringing nothing new is a waste of effort
remember to keep fedi advertiser non-friendly
mahjong and lesbians
ok, time to read the whole manga today
i'm so sad of learning how people actually hate this game. it is probably the final fantasy that I had replayed the most. it was probably circumstantial but i loved it a lot
the wiimote accelerometer improved greatly when they added the wii remote plus attachment. sadly, I can only remember 3 games that actually used that capability (and one is from the wiiu) but their control scheme was really great. it was a shame that they released the plus after the community decided that motion controlls = bad so nobody wanted to develop games using them
this one was never really popular, but hardware gimmicks. from the light gun to dance pads, going through wii motion controllers or even double screen of the ds and wiiu (fuck you nintendo for abandonning the wiiu) I really miss having different ways of playing games that was not only game pads or keyboard + mouse. even if the games were not great, having some physical interaction with them was fun to explore. sadly, even when they were "common", not many games made very good use of them, resulting in most games being mediocre at best
the closest modern equivalent I can think about is VR and it is not something I want to play with
i just watched Kids on the Slope a week ago or so and it is so sad we didn't hear about it before. it is a great work and so satisfying to watch. the only downside is that they skipped a bunch of things from the manga and some scenes feel weird because of that
capitalism is the main source of PTSD
the netflix series did a good job of keeping the core of the story while changing many things from the original work. while I think the manga is way better, this version is a good gateway for anyone that does not want to commit to 1000+ episodes
autistic protagonist acting like a cat is just enough tbh (haven't seen the video yet)
