@Even_Adder @alphacyberranger Unrelated, but wow does it feel cool seeing an article I wrote years ago randomly liked when I check out the Fedi on a random morning!

While it has never been confirmed to be the case to my knowledge, a LOT of folks thought it was for sure.

@Endmaker @Rottcodd This is legit a perfect explanation

@alphacyberranger This is a rare isekai I really ended up enjoying. Hopefully season two continues that trend.

@YourPrivatHater Most seem to disagree. Child psychologists disagree. Ratings boards in multiple countries disagree. Kids who have, and continue to watch this movie in Elementary schools growing up healthily is big evidence against it being inappropriate too.

Maybe you're just wrong? Maybe folks shouldn't hide the truths of the world from their kids?

@YourPrivatHater @riskable Over 100,000 WWII vets are still alive, today. People are being bombed right now, shelled right now, having white phosphorus dropped on them, right now.

None of this is a "long time ago." It is within living memory.

@Caligvla It does to my remembrance, like... 110 episodes? I think?

What is the last anime you watched over 100 episodes? (Or the longest you've watched if none qualify?)

In case folks are curious, I'm asking because I just got halfway through watching Tsurikichi Sanpei (109 episodes) and it got me thinking.

Yawara! ended up becoming my favorite series of all time (I have cell art from it and everything) and it had a whopping 124 episodes and two films! I think that's the latest one I've finished.

Though Attack No. 1 (104 episodes), all of Dragon Ball & Super, Yu Yu Hakusho, and My Hero Academia as well hit those big marks.

How about y'all Lemmy friends?

@wjs018 @[email protected] It truly is a mood which is probably why it struck me so hard too. The pandemic showed me the cruelty of people was far greater than I had ever expected. It's scary how folks so quickly ignore experts in their fields too.

@wjs018 Oh absolutely, I have no interest in just showing off specific acts happening or anything like that! The themes and story are what intrigue me anyways. I think I miss not being alive when Roger Ebert and other big name critics actually reviewed adult films proper and wish some of that energy would come back.

@wjs018 @[email protected] I'm so glad you enjoyed the article! (Commenting from Mastodon, heck I love Fediverse features!)

It's extremely reasonable for that to be what turns you away from watching and I don't blame you for that at all. I do hope places will let me cover some of the other hentai I saw worth analyzing while becoming a hentai master. If not, I'll just do so on my blog because some really deserve to be dug into.

@nieminen @wjs018 Well considering they still get directly supported by the project... Yes.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 3 months ago

@wjs018 @[email protected] I'm glad you found it! It gets some surprisingly good shows and films on there sometimes. And anything free is worth saving up for, right?

@thisisartman @anime That is such a weird meme, recommending that show to try and trick people into watching it. Which that trend would stop being a thing with anime fans.
