I don't disagree buts that's sort of avoiding the point. There are endless examples of large groups of non unionized workers who could collect their money and pay someone (a union rep) a full time salary to support and advance their interests. They have the cash but they still don't execute for a variety of other reasons.

It's not just access to money and cash.

They organize and put in work. Landlords and small business ghouls are always part of some organization, or email blast, or chamber of commerce, etc. Sometimes they need to show up to meetings and do what they're told to do (i.e. support X bill or donate to Y cause). And they will because the benefits they receive are worth the expense.

I wouldn't bother. IMHO you're better off just learning a bit about what to do and not to do during an arrest (e.g. when to speak and what to say, if anything). No lawyer is going to be helping you with that in real time when you need that information.

Once arrested in the US you have the right to be provided an attorney at no cost. If you get one phone call I would not be wasting it on some lawyers guild. Call your family, friends, or whoever you need to get word out to for financial help or coverage while you're in jail.

Public defenders get shit on for many reasons, and they're overworked and underpaid, but they can still be helpful to you for what you're describing.

Kiyosaki: I have tons of debt I don't own anything no one could ever take my shit just because I owe them money.

Also Kiyosaki: I buy tons of gold. Please don't take that.

I love that when they were going to approve minimum wage increases, folks were whining that it would destroy all of those jobs.

Now that the increase is happening, instead of those jobs disappearing, suddenly there are SO MANY that it's giving every worker a chance to just switch jobs.

not voting for the person I don't really like means you're voting for the person we both don't like!
