Infinite Jest. I feel like David Foster Wallace wrote this book with the goal of including as many obscure vocabularies as possible. I eventually got hooked about 60% through, but this was a struggle. Literally forced myself to read it as a challenge.

It was a long and tedious and overly complex book. But it was well-written. And to think, I put myself through it all because of "This is Water".

I read Dark Matter pretty recently, and from the get-go everything was super predictable. The moment he got into the car, you can pretty much deduct who's in the backseat. Maybe it was by design and he intended the readers to be able to guess right away.

Regardless, the sciencey stuff in this book are just so boilerplate and played out. A ton of way-too-convenient plot devices. A lot of these moments of "why would he think/do that? Isn't he supposed to be a genius?". I forced myself to finish this book halfway through just to see out the ending. I cannot believe it's a best seller and it is rated so highly. Has to be bots.

Here's your monthly Project Hail Mary post. I call dibs on next month's.

But yeah I love that book, I rarely buy physical books anymore, but I went out of my way to grab a copy
