A few friends recently commented that navigating the download page of Debian for the install media of their choice can be really tricky. I came up with this little gist to solve their frustration.

flatjak is a little bash script that installs Flatpak with necessary software center and desktop integrations & enables the all important Flathub repository in Ubuntu & its derivatives. flatjak should work fine on Debian and other Debian based distributions too.

systemd-boot is good but it might never have theming support as Lennart Poettering thinks that,

I am not sure a boot loader needs to support coloring themes...

Mastodon has this feature baked right in. It'll be great if this feature makes it way into Lemmy as well. 🀞

Again, I can't argue against this point. Money is a necessary evil to consider for sure πŸ’°

Ease of access is for sure an important thing.

Can I make a wee suggestion?

It'll be nice if you guys can use something other than "Google Forms" for future surveys. Something a bit more privacy respecting than "Google Forms" will be a better choice for platform like Beehaw. A few suggestions,

EUSurvey
Nextcloud Forms
LiberaForms
OhMyForm
Form Tools

This is just a personal opinion expressed with a view to improve Beehaw experience. No offense intended.

This is the first short story I ever wrote. A few glitches might be there but I hope that you guys will enjoy reading this. The story contains references to illicit substances and swear words so proceed at your own discretion. You have been warned 😜

Thanks for the information πŸ‘

I'm sure the issue you described will be fixed soon; either here (Beehaw) or at Lemmy.

Joachim Cooder (son of legendary guitarist Ry Cooder) gives a mesmerizing live performance on an electric Mbira.

Your post (Story) had me confused for sure πŸ˜•

Is it considered an okay practice to post links?

I've written a few silly things that I've already published on my blog. Will it be okay to share the link to the published post here or should I copy-paste the content here? Any ideas or advises?
