  • Anything by Lankum: The first folk band I got into on bandcamp, aka the start of a terrible addiction. They play traditional music with entirely their own style. Pulls your head and feelings all sorts of ways. Some of it is quite bleak but all of it is great. https://lankum.bandcamp.com/

I think bandcamp is a pretty good way to find new music. I've gone down some lengthy rabbitholes finding a band I like then clicking various tags or links to other bands supported by their fans. You can stream a lot of the music, and if you buy something more of the money goes to the artists.

 

Cracking version of a traditional song, played with a really menacing sound. Would love to see this band live!
