I see it as a result of the way that imperialism gives Americans the feeling that whatever they do is influential because of the status given through imperialism. A hybrid which grows every time America announces that they will do something on the global stage and is received by vassals as god-given words.

So, no, they won't realize any of that until a significant shift in material circumstances allows for some class consciousness to grow, and that depends on Americans fighting to deepen and work out what that will look like.

Originally it was a meme about the way he and Obama looked while walking in a picture, and was innocuous. It began to be used as a way to refer to Xi Jinping in negative propaganda without directly putting his face on it and grew the racist connotations implicitly quickly after by new users of the meme, and the explicit usage with dog-whistled racism followed quickly thereafter with the excuse "we only do it because he doesn't like it."

If I had to guess he didn't care and maybe found it funny originally (if he even saw it early on) but using a caricature for politics instead of good critique is dumb and good to ban. And that's all this was

Once again, RedSails has the correct take from our Brazilian comrades: https://redsails.org/western-marxism-and-christianity/

If you begin to have success you are proving unworthy of that success

I've had people turn an organizing strategy meeting into bullshit about "stalinism" because I was the only ML there. It was a conversation about recruiting, and that always gets to this point. The Trots hated whenever I didn't want to denigrate China or really any leftist project. Also many got pissed that there was a Soviet aesthetic in some posters, which I get, but disagreed because they hate the Soviet Union, not because it's ineffective.

In my experience, active recruitment always brings out the differences very fast, because factions want to recruit more to their faction.

Lol this one is hilarious but I do wonder what his analyses would look like today with new physics. Dude fuckin loved the scientific breakthroughs of his day and referenced them often as analogy. Was also inspired by the methods and laws that they found. Would he hate or love quantum mechanics? How many wave/particle at analogies would he have used to describe capital? Is value a Higgs Boson? Is Higgs Boson the structure and effects of general relativity the superstructure????

I worked for a jet company for a while and the ease with which the FAA accepted business arguments blew my mind and scared the shit out of me. The chances of failure were still small, but I could get anything through by comparison (fairly close if you take specific values)+it's not profitable to change

Ah yes, ok good, then of course comrade! 100-com

Maybe I would add that these stereotypes are often based in behaviours that are often also mythical (Chinese products being cheaper made isn't necessarily true)

"to the ones who perform them" can you elaborate on this part? I guess the question hinges here: are you referring to essentializing the behaviours of "judeo-bolsheviks" in the positive sense? Like all Jews were essentialized to the traits of some socialist Jews in the Soviet union (doing good things but bad for empire)? Or is the claim that anti-Semitism essentialized the negative behaviours of "money hoarding" which some Jews may have done to all Jews? I think this is important to clarify what real actions were done and which were never done/not necessarily done by any of the people essentialized

I think how we should characterize this is something like "they are anti-Semitic in form, but not about Jews specifically" or anti-Semitic in form but not content"

Anti-Semitism, according to Sartre and many others, would've created the object to which it must attach even if it weren't Jews. I don't know many right-wingers who would ever attach their theories specifically to Jews (though it is unfortunately not rare). Many honestly have no signified to attach these ideas too, which is dangerous, but many have "gays" or "black people" or especially now "Chinese" to whom they attach this anti-Semitic form to give it content.

Anti-Semitism's form was never limited to anti-Semitic content, but it was very common that they came together.

Or maybe we need a new word for the content, because treatment of Chinese influence is constantly trending towards the exact forms and similar contents to how Jews were treated in the late 19th century
