PSA for any fellow Linux CS players out there: the June 20 update to CSGO made the game crash on every launch for me until I disabled the Steam overlay. Not sure exactly what the cause was, but I susp in c/[email protected]

In your opinion, which FOSS software is by many considered "old" or "obsolete", but are in fact, in your opinion, in many ways better than the newer alternatives? in c/[email protected]

You bring up a good point with utilities like Bitwarden and Proton Mail; things that look nice and have good functionality attract the average user much more easily.

I'm generally pretty pleased with the update, save for one thing: something with the new overlay causes CSGO to crash immediately upon launch. I've worked around it by disabling the overlay for the time being, but I'm hoping that they can get this fixed soon nonetheless.

What is your favorite ever DOS game? in c/[email protected]

Star Control II for sure. Fantastic game, still one of the best story-based games I've played. Heavily inspired a lot of more modern franchises, too, including Mass Effect.
