You could disable their spyware. Cars didn't always phone home to snitch on you.

Matrix does exist. It has another level of "barrier for entry" but its probably the least worst option excluding network effect.

We used to do this I believe.

Many moons ago, the government used to hire real experts. Economists, biologists, physicists, business people who know how to do business bigly.

Now we just outsource decisions to one of the big four or just cut the crap and ask the IPA to write the policy.

Man, reading that article made me sad. Yeah the emergency services gets more calls, but what's the point in living if you can't have a bit of fun now and then?

We've collectively given up our right to be fucking idiots.

I'm not involved either. I definitely would never do anything so abhorrent and inconsiderate of rights holders who purchased their copyrights fair and square.

Never.

Ever.

Rimworld.

Everytime, Rimworld.

Its got a good modding community, if you add the vanilla plants expanded mod you can grow heaaaaaps of different stuff.

You don't have to just farm food; You can run a tree farm, a drug farm, an organ farm.

I've been riding a big bike (mts1200) and I prefer the side bags. They provide some protection from me dropping it, they lower the centre of gravity a little bit, and they can technically hold more in them.

Using the top box would make me more top heavy than I already am.

I wish I could fit my helmet in the panniers, but its the price I must pay.

Yo, I have also been having problems with a fritzbox 7490. I initially thought it was the cat6e in the walls but we're having wifi issues as well. Perhaps the devices they built are starting to fail? Flash getting old, capacitors getting swollen etc. I'm hanging out for a microtik replacement just needs approval from the minister of finance.

CloudFlare increases centralisation on the internet. It's not binary, just using CloudFlare doesn't make the whole thing centralised, but it increases dependency of a centralised, corporate controlled system. I can 100% understand using CloudFlare, they provide an incredible service, but we should be cognisant of our dependence on these services.

While I agree in the practical sense (I use CloudFlare myself), it kind of goes against the spirit of the fediverse as it centralises around a single corporation.

Yeah, its pretty toxic when you use it and leave. If you stick around its pretty funny most of the time.
