Any idea when the next Lemma release will be out? It is my preferred Lemmy app and am missing using it at the moment.

I’ll give that a go. It will be a shame if I have to leave 2FA off to use the app though.

Feddit.uk are going through some changes (admins, domain host and more) and it looks as if existing accounts are being asked to log in again.

On other clients this seems to be working fine. However for Lemma my credentials are being rejected. I am sure I am using the same credentials as I have on Memmy and other apps but no matter what I try the credentials are being rejected.

I have tried uninstalling the app and adding the account again but it still doesn’t work.

Any ideas?

If you can give us an option to adjust text size (especially on comments) it would be really appreciated.

Great! I’m glad I made sense. Even I read it back and wasn’t clear what I meant!!

Yes. Marking read on scroll itself works fine. However if I tap a post in the middle of the timeline, read the post and then go back to the timeline not only is that post marked as read (as expected) but also any more also on the screen.

I think you are right about the predictive text.

I am really liking the first public TestFlight build. All of the key features are here and performance is very good.

Everything looks to be working well but I do have two points.

Firstly the mark read option seem to be a little ‘sensitive’. If I tap a post and then return a few posts after the one I tap on are also marked as read. A small things but one to be aware of.

Secondly whilst typing this message I am seeing a fair amount of post ‘jumping’ and copying of the message already written. The last one is a little odd. If I keep typing it sorts itself.

Finally I can see that you have text size as a holder in the options. Please see if you get to that one soon - as someone who struggles with his sight (I put it down to age!) the comment text particularly is a little too small.

All-in-all you have written a really good app. I look forward to following and trying out the updates as they are released. Well done.

There isn’t an option to dim. The app does it automatically if you have the ‘mark read on scroll’ option turned on.

Although it stopped working for me earlier but is working again now. Strange.

I am really loving the recent updates to Memmy. It is really taking some massive steps forward and is currently my go-to client on iOS.

One feature that I am really enjoying is the mark read on scroll option. It has been in the app for a while but the recent update now appears to be working as expected. However it now looks to be a little too ‘aggressive’ in marking the post read as I scroll it up the screen.

I barely have the post at the mid-way point on the screen before the post title dims out. Would it be possible to have it mark the post as read as it moves off the screen?

I know it’s not a big thing. I am just personally finding it a little distracting to have the post titles dim as I am trying to read them.

Anyway, great work on the updates. I am really looking forward to seeing what comes next.

Interesting… it seems to be working now! Really strange as it didn’t look to be before.

Let me keep trying this to see if it happens again.

Loving the app. However it doesn’t look as if the mark read on scroll option is working.

If I scroll some posts they do not indicate that they have been read by going grey. Unlike when I tap and read a post. Equally tapping the hide read posts button doesn’t make scrolled by posts disappear.

I jumped straight on the lifetime option as soon as I could. Bean is superb and continues to be a joy to use. I try out other apps out of interest but Bean is my go-to Lemmy app.

I should also have added that I am loving the app. It is really well put together and thought out.

Thanks for the reply. How do I disable community instances? Sorry if it’s obvious… I just can’t see it in settings.

Another couple of examples of what I am seeing.

I am loving the app. However on some posts the width of the text causes it to lose a few characters both sides, as in the screen shot.

Is this a setting I need to change?

I do tend to like my text a little after than normal due to my eyes. Could it be that?

So far so good for me. No crashing from what I am seeing.

I’m looking forward to trying the updated iPad layout once that is available.

I’m really loving Bean. Every update is looked forward to.

One of the issues I am seeing is the jumping timeline, something that I have seen mentioned elsewhere. It is almost as if Bean is filling in the timeline with pictures etc which is adjusting the post sizes.

Is anyone else seeing this? It isn’t a huge deal other than you suddenly jump to a different post as you are looking at the timeline. A small thing but a little frustrating.

Another one from me.

As someone who struggles a bit with their eyesight finding a good balance of font size and readability / usability can be ‘fun’.

Just about every Memmy app I have tried offers some form of font scaling but it is a single setting. Bean is the same (unless I am missing something).

Would it be possible to have an option to set the size of post titles / headings separately to the main post text? This would affect both the timeline view and the post view itself.

That way for someone like me it will give me a chance to find a sensible and much needed balance. As it is now if I push the font size up too much to make the main text size readable then the header is very large.

As the title suggests. Bean looks superb and is extremely good to use in these opening minutes.

However one option I always used on Apollo (and others like ReddPlanet) was to mark posts and comments as read on scroll.

This allowed me to scroll through things that did not interest me so much and not see them again unless needed (by tapping the button).

Is this functionality on the list to add to Bean?

The new TestFlight app 0.1.0 (4) is superb. However I am still hoping to see a ‘mark read on scroll’ option at some point soon.

Is that on the roadmap? It’s one feature that Apollo and ReddPlanet had that I really appreciated.
