Lol it's fail rate is x2 as bad as the black hawks and x6-x12 as bad as the cargo planes, but they deliberately rank by fatalities instead. When a cargo plane crashes, almost a hundred people die. When a V-22 crashes, less than a dozen die. Ergo it's roughly as safe as a cargo jet.

A more honest rate would multiple flight hours by number of personnel on each flight. If you get on a V-22 you're chance of dying skyrockets compared to being on a C-130.

My point is insisting on not voting is still unproductive engagement in electoralism. You can do productive electoralism, but you don't focus on the actual vote. You can take the pretense of canvassing for candidate to do a mass line and adjust your org's strategy accordingly. Or use phonebanking to build a roster of sympathetic neighbors. Or you can discuss strategy with new naive political activist. Electoralism can be done correctly but it requires a certain balance of cynicism and optimism which is hard but can be very bountiful.

I mean, yeah, it's a failure that we didn't do that. Then, when he died, no one would give a shit. But alas, we drink a bittersweet victory.

This discourse is fucking unbearable. Thinking that voting is "what everything comes down to" in politics and therefore harassing the far left for not wanting to vote for genocide joe is just wrong and cringe. At the same time insisting on not voting is predicated on that action mattering at all in the first place. Either that it's somehow a way of moving the democrats to the left or that your mortal soul will be tarnished for the sin of voting for a lesser evil.

I know that's very edgy aloof take but I'd rather not be wasting any bandwidth even thinking about national electoralism.

In reality they just sit on the tank and hop off when things are sus. Or hide on the other side of the tank.

We've known since WWII that armor needs infantry support yet armies keep trying to treat them as stand alone cavalry because that branch of the army still exists. And then they drive them into a city just like you would do with cavalry...

That said. There's a lot of clips here of tanks being hit with RPGs but nothing of a tank actually being destroyed.

The accounts are horrifying. It's like a brush fire got picked up by 70mph (112km/h) winds and the words "fire hurricane" were used.

I want to be cynical and question how liberals will respond to this but this is a catastrophic death toll in one of the most neglected (and beautiful) corners of the US.
