Supplemental lore tells us that, in the world of Elysium, there exist people known as Magpies. These people have the ability to perceive and "decode" information from the Pale, the entroponetic phenomenon that pervades Elysium, and which has the potential to convey information, such as memories, from the past and present. I personally interpret Harry's Shivers and Inland Empire abilities as evidence of him being one of those, as they often provide him (and us) with information that he either has not yet learned, or cannot possibly know. At any rate though, the Innocences are people who are able to do this to a degree that they can radically alter history. It is heavily implied that Dolores Dei's assassination resulted from her ability to bring ideas from the future into her time, which one of her bodyguards caught onto and saw as evidence of her being some kind of inhuman abomination

has the ability to pull information from the future via the Pale? And that by doing so she and others like her contribute to a potential entroponetic apocalypse caused by repeated time paradoxes?
Imagine if they do some crazy branching quest that remembers your save from the last game
Get out of my head, I was thinking exactly this not a few hours ago. I'm of two minds about a potential sequel, but if one ever materializes, this is precisely what I hope it is. You're probably right though, I doubt it'll happen like this, if at all.
Even if you never manage to find the Archer, the game beats you over the head with the idea that the Moralintern not only stands for nothing, but is willing to resort to insidious tactics to stand up for that nothing. And even if you manage to never pick up on those hints, the few representatives of the Moralintern that you're able to meet and speak with are parodies of your average dull-minded pro-austerity EU bureaucrats. I mean really, imagine declaring your full throated support for a parody of Mario Draghi, that the game openly mocks you for supporting

I don't know if I'm dressing up for actual Halloween, but I went to a party the other day as cowboy leather daddy Ghostface. I do like the Scream movies, but I mainly did it because I figured my girlfriend and her friends would think it was hot lol
I'm kinda proud of how well it turned out actually. I was almost fully decked out in leather, including chaps. Even my hat, which miraculously fit over my mask, was leather. Wore spurs on my boots, and my jacket had all kinds of crazy rodeo fringe all over it. Was sweating like a pig after five minutes on the dance floor, but totally worth it
Well how can I say no to that? Thanks man, I'll quit sleeping on it. Definitely gonna catch it on sale if I can though, I've been out of work for a minute lol
You could probably emulate the older MGS games. They still hold up pretty well.
True, though while I've got nothing against playing games with dated graphics, that control scheme is something else entirely lol. Granted, I've never played any of the MGS games on PC, and my sole experience with the series beyond Ground Zeroes and Phantom Pain has been the MGS2 Xbox port.
Modern by recent-ish releases? Have you played the newer Hitman game (I think it's renamed World of Assassination now), the mimimi isometric stealth games (eg Shadow Tactics), or the Dishonored games?
I'll confess that I haven't, but I'm probably missing out there too. I've always been slow to try new games (thanks ADHD/ASD/whatever on Earth is up with me), but I've been better about that these last few years. Might should give some of these a try. Appreciate the recommendations in any case!
Edit: I should specify that by "modern" I mean games set in the modern day with modern tech (sorry Thief, I'll try you eventually.) But I suppose I also mean it in the sense of recent-ish releases
I hope it's good. I only had an Xbox as a kid, so I never got to play MGS3 (and I was too into Chaos Theory to play other stealth games anyway.) But Splinter Cell hasn't had a new entry in a decade, and MGS3 is a classic that I definitely feel I missed out on. Lacking any other games to scratch the modern stealth itch, I really, really hope this doesn't turn out to be shit.
Lord only knows. Even in the moment I was trying to be empathetic though. I don't recall the particulars, but I overheard her conversing with a guy she'd brought (she was in the row directly in front of us, which kinda made the whole thing worse lol) and it sounded like her life was pretty screwy. The poor thing probably has a hard time getting out.
Oh hell yeah. I feel that anybody who feels strongly about it should support things like universal childcare, if not for the million and one reasons that that's a good and proper thing to do, than at least because it demonstrates genuine principles to put your money where your mouth is.
That's what he says, sure, but it's implied at points that he harbors more sympathy for the communards than he lets on. I personally doubt that he'd be too upset about a second revolution, particulary considering that Harry's station captain is probably the one conspiring to bring it about.
