Are they working? No.

Will they continue? Yes.

between this implication and the non-binding accords on climate change I think we've finally proved good things can happen!

I am not actually familiar with the history but for me (and I assume many others in this context) when I see "inteligentsia" I read "SS"

Edit: so that could be where this is coming from

Yeah, this even kept me from playing games I actually bought from them

this can only backfire on them if they’re not careful.

"I'm voting Haley because she's not Trump" I have actually been wondering about this since his entire campaign is literally just "he's not Trump" what happens if someone else gets the nomination? I think it's reasonable to assume it would depress turnout from both parties unless it is due to something that can be pointed at as Democratic corruption like blocking Trump from the ballot, in which case I would guess it would only depress dem turnout.

Though I am not clear if this does anything for write-ins or not so I don't know if we would see our first actual spoiler candidate.

This reminded me of some bullshit where they had passed a law either forbidding action based on coast line change or forbidding monitoring of it IIRC.

Here's an article if anyone wants it but it starts out pretty strong https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2018/sep/12/north-carolina-didnt-like-science-on-sea-levels-so-passed-a-law-against-it

"In 2012, the state now in the path of Hurricane Florence reacted to a prediction by its Coastal Resources Commission that sea levels could rise by 39in over the next century by passing a law that banned policies based on such forecasts."

I've literally never encountered this off the internet & don't actually believe that it is a real thing (beyond maybe dozens of people somewhere). But it is everywhere on the internet like it was an addition to the sermon of the mount or something.

It's still a bad idea

and it doesn't account for jobs that are obviously insufficient

O.o When do you think Vietnam was?

It's disingenuous. Sometimes a teen will be addressed as (but not usually called) young man / young lady but it is usually either for the purpose of criticism or just navigating their ego since teens can't accept they're still children.
