... We the people... Remember that one? The only things that give Trump power are a piece of paper and US citizens. That piece of paper doesn't do much once people turn against him. I don't like Trump, but I also have a non-zero amount of faith in our government's structure. Next four years will probably be a downhill slide, but then there will be a rebound candidate elected in 4 years. If people in Congress vote in favor of all these ridiculously extreme amendments like you are saying they will, normal Americans will kick them out of office. Now the filibuster seems like a pretty good thing, huh?

That's an insult to democracies everywhere. You can't seriously draw a comparison between the US today and pre-hitler Germany. Not all democracies are equal, as modern-day Russia proves.
So removing the filibuster 1. Can't happen while the filibuster is in place (because the left could just filibuster) and 2. Was a major pushing point for the left not more than 2 years ago. You either have no real knowledge of how the government works or think every American other than you has literal brain damage if you think that our system allows for such a radical change in 2 years. This "democracy is over" rhetoric has been said almost every 4 years like clockwork. If you think that the country is in a worse place now than it was in the Great Depression and WW2 you are delusional. I dislike Trump and voted for Kamala, because I can't stand stupid. Trump isn't Hitler. He's his own type of shit, but nowhere near as bad. It is fair to say that you think the country will be worse off with Trump as lead. But you have exaggerated it so much you look like a bigger clown than he is.
No no trust me, I'm right because it's me.
Doesn't this just say more about how much people hate Kamala? Racism/Sexism included.
Can you elaborate on how the US has lost its democracy? The democracy voted him in, in 4 years it will vote someone else in. Unless you genuinely believe that Trump has any power to change that.
And since Trump is gone in 4, the only way this curve continues is if the American people say so. Trump isn't the problem.
I feel like since there is such a big margin there has to be more to it than racism. Ofc it played a role, and maybe I'm just too trusting of fellow Americans, but I think a better candidate/campaign could have overcome the disadvantage of being a black woman.
I'm sorry, racist boarder policy??? Isn't any boarder policy other than completely open boarders racist? Because I don't think people are in favor of not having a boarder.
My brother in Christ no one is defending Trump here. You can criticize Kamala without supporting Trump.
But you realize that he can only do what people let him? Things like the second amendment exist so that if the people want to disband/replace the existing government they can. Everyone in the military is a person with free will too. And if he tries to run for a third term, I think that there will be more than just 2 or 3 attempts on his life. It's valid to believe he will try, but there is simply nothing meaningful or lasting he can do. He's just another millionaire after fame and fortune, I don't think he's willing to get shot for it.
