Even then, the Third Republic at the beginning was very close to bringing the Bourbons back. But, the Count of Chambord refused to accept because he didn't like the flag.

Nothing has changed since the 60s. All the Watergate babies like Pelosi think they are above it but, they are no better than the Democratic establishment of the 60s calling for the FBI to bug MLK and other activists. And always for the same spurious national security reasons.

Here is a relevant story on birds in space during the waning years of the Cold War.

The Soviets were first in this area too.

They are despicable, evil people.

The contrast makes it so evident. You'd think you were reading from the politics subreddit based on all those comments. I wonder what the ratio is for true-believing libs vs paid posts/bots during these election campaign swarms?

Not right now, but I used to get them. There are so many solar scam calls that I sometimes want the Republicans to end the tax subsidy just for them to try a different scam.

When I was a kid, I used to just think that was just someone's name that they put on the calendar.

Cold War mindset. That whole generation had it in general. I kind of feel pity for his horizons being limited in that way. The capitalists waged the Cold War mercilessly, which included producing some of the most potent propaganda in the history of mankind. He just can't break out of it, especially when his livelihood became intimately tied to their political institutions.

I will vote 3rd party, probably for the PSL if they're on the ballot again in my state. Doesn't do much except as a weak act of protest. The Democrats can't guilt me into voting for Biden, considering that their neglect of the state party turned my swing state of Florida into a solid red one. That and all the chuds moving here from rural New York. If you're in a similar situation in the presidential race, vote for the person you feel best aligns with your values, knowing that it is a minor act of protest that has no real bearing on anything.

Congressional and state elections go nowhere in Florida, especially where I am. The ballot initiatives are the only important thing that voting might change. Abortion should be on it this year and I hope they can expand reproductive rights in my state.

Hello. I was wondering if anybody could offer diet advice for better health, especially if they are planned diets. For context, I'm not yet in my 30s and I was diagnosed as a Type 2 Diabetic and am trying to look for diet plans that are not gimmicky. I have had some success losing 20 or so pounds over 5 months with just cutting back a lot of excess food and carbs. Made my A1c go down from 8.6 to 6.8. I think I might not yet be insulin dependent. However, I would just feel more secure with a routine to follow (same with exercise, but I will have to address that another day) It is hard to do that, given how commodified diet literature and fitness are. I greatly appreciate your input, especially from those who are in similar situations and might have experience with diet and remission.
