I fortunately don't have any of this. I do exercise regularly but I wonder how long it is before some chronic pain starts appearing.

A lot of what you are describing here is why leftism is dysfunctional in the west. Since leftism in the west isn't always a matter of material survival, western leftists use it to hyper-individualize themselves. Essentially they use leftist ideology to try to improve their class/conditions within a capitalist system without attempting to overthrow it. They also attack each other when one person does not see another's personal problems as "the one true leftist perspective."

A key factor is sometimes these criticisms are not coming from someone who is looking for solidarity, but supremacy. This is why people become defensive, because these accusations are not always launched with a cooperative perspective in mind, but a competitive mindset that is a result of western societal framing. Many of the examples cited can also be liberal perspectives quietly excusing capitalism. Basically saying "if it was only 'x' group that was removed from power, or put in charge, the current system would work.

Or they are fear mongering with the intent to sway opinion that societal collapse is imminent so that we all must be ready to use extreme measures.

"Societal collapse" in their mind is the collapse of their privileged life. "Extreme measures" meaning find ways to quietly genocide a group of people before it becomes an open power struggle.

Honestly most of the time I see a variety of ball cap on a white dude it feels like a tell. Not necessarily always a chud but I feel the ratio is in that direction. I would be curious if there is actually data on this or just a prejudice of mine.

Intense fearful gaze is another one, which is why they also love to wear sunglasses everywhere. The funniest thing chuds do is take selfies of themselves scowling with sunglasses on in their pickup truck.

Every accusation is a confession... sadly. doomer

Everything is political, not just when your views are challenged.

I would say a third of those games make sense.

Anything WW2, Shooters, and anything 40K related would be my assumptions. I would also throw in Madden. Top of the chud pile would be Call of Duty.

Oddly enough BioShock still has Ayn Rand fans despite the story. Naturally they can't understand that it is a deconstruction of Ayn Rand. They also say the only reason Rapture failed was because Ryan abandoned his ideals...

hypersus HE DID BECAUSE HE FUCKING HAD TO BECAUSE HE WAS LOSING UNDER HIS IDEALS. That is the entire point of that story. It's a self contradicting society.

I don't know if he means well, but whether he is accidentally correct by whining about treats or he is giving a relatable example, he is right on the money.

Rather amusingly, treats are pivotal to both the economy and the culture of America. A Wendy's closing in America could actually be a sign of decline. data-laughing

It was awesome back in the day. Its clunky but still fun today. While it was a little campy during the cutscenes, it was actually supposed to have a more serious tone than RA2.

It also answers the question of what if Stalin didn't stop at Berlin. stalin-shining
