It sure seems that way, what with every side story revealing a new Gundam variant that was so secret that nobody ever heard of it ever again. But, if I may direct your attention to Solomon and A Baoa Qu, with shot after shot of entire waves of GMs and Balls getting urfed/'sploded/melted... I'm gonna have to give the sheer count award to the trusty GM.*

Neat. So, it could be a coincidence that all of this started to happen just as the absurdly long titles of Japanese light novels were becoming a meme in the west.
