You're ahead of the stable releases so you'll need to wait until stable catches up with you. Probably when QPR1 hits stable.

  • IINA for video. It's a VLC alternative that's much cleaner and mac native
  • Homebrew. It's a terminal package manager. Super useful.
  • Magnet for window snapping. macOS has this built in now and there are open source alternatives, but I bought magnet for a few dollars when the alternatives didn't exist.

As a side note, the default z shell (zsh) should be good enough for you unless you have a specific reason you need bash instead.

Thanks for trying. I'm unfortunately out of ideas.

Try 144 or 165 if you have it. It's some sort of matching game rather than hardware compatibility.

What is your resolution and refresh rate set to? MacOS can be quite picky.

I use four monitors for my WFH setup with a total of 11.8m pixels. Three 6k monitors is 37.3m pixels, more than three times what I've got. I'd be seriously considering this if I could run all four, but for now the hackintosh lives on.

Do you have transcoding turned off? Sometimes it wants to play in "maximum quality" or something which is actually transcoding.

Are both your devices using Ethernet or WiFi?
