ESPN has the same order I do in my head, best teams over most deserving. Michigan and Washington are both tied at 1 for me but Michigan was ranked higher previously so I’m giving them the edge. Would’ve been way more interesting/controversial if Jordan Travis was still healthy and FSU dominated Louisville. We really might not have had an SEC team in the playoff for the first time ever.

  1. Michigan
  2. Washington
  3. Texas
  4. Alabama
  5. Georgia
  6. Florida State

For Clemson, it’s looking like the Holiday Bowl against either Oregon State or USC. I’m fine with either school. The matchup against DJU would’ve been an interesting one and the Riley Bowl matchup would be fun. Never played the Beavers before but we’d have a chance to avenge our lone loss to the Trojans back in checks notes 1966.

Good luck to everyone, may the Bowls be ever in your favor!

I, also, would like to see FSU lose. Go toothed birds!

Rooting for Alabama to win yet another SEC Championship just so that Georgia finally loses a game and I don’t feel good about it 🤢

TAMU moves up because losing Jimbo is addition by subtraction (/s).

This but unironically. See: Florida State 2019

Did anyone have Arnett on their Hot Seat list?

Don’t worry Aggie bros, you will always have the 20-- National Championship. No one can take that away from you.

I know this is going to be overshadowed by Jimbo Fisher being fired but it still felt notable.

San Antonio Brahmas

I thought I was safe on a college football forum. Pain.

Just had a chance to check the UTSA score, looks like you putting the game on your iPad has helped out our offense. Go Runners!

Although next year the ACC [is] going to one-up this geographic monstrosity

I don’t know what you mean. I, for one, am excited to bring back the historic Atlantic Coast rivalry that is Louisville v. [checks notes] Stanford. Battle of the Cardinals!

(Who will win, a toothed bird or a color?)

With only 26 days left until college football returns, let’s remember Sean Taylor from Miami who wore #26.

Miami from 2001-2003

  • 2001 National Champion
  • 2002 Second-team All-Big East
  • 2003 Jack Tatum Trophy
  • 2003 Big East Defensive Player of the Year
  • 2003 Unanimous All-American
  • 2003 First-team All-Big East
  • 2003 Jim Thorpe Award Finalist

Ward, who was placed on the 10-day injured list Sunday, had been taken to a Toronto hospital for testing after being struck by a 91 mph pitch from Blue Jays right-hander Alek Manoah in the fifth inning. The ball appeared to strike Ward next to his left eye, knocking off his batting helmet and sending blood running down his face. Ward was released from the hospital Saturday night.

Before Sunday's game, Angels manager Phil Nevin said Ward did not have vision damage. Surgery is an option for Ward, but no decision has been made. It was not clear when Ward would be able to return to California.

Elliott, who was released by the Dallas Cowboys on March 15 in a salary cap move, had a career-low 876 rushing yards in 2022, but he scored 12 touchdowns and remained a top short-yardage back and pass protector. That is a potential role that the Patriots, who are preparing to practice in full pads early next week with a heavy emphasis on the running game, could be looking to fill. This is Elliott's first free agent visit since he was released by the Cowboys.

"A lot of emotions," Giolito said. "I grew up here as a player and as a man. A lot of failure, a lot of success. I owe this organization so much. The city, the fans, it's been an absolute pleasure.

Giolito joins an Angels team that is attempting to make the postseason for the first time in a decade. He expressed excitement over joining two-way star Shohei Ohtani in their rotation.
