But it is the case here, IMO, where Navalny is supposed to more broadly support the Westernization of Russia and its membership in duh internashnul comunity or whatever, so I would suspect that Navalny is more astroturfed local opposition than is talked about.

Yes, they did, and I think they have tried to come up with long-term plans to keep funding Ukraine and NATO, which is not really the direction that they have wanted to actually go as a people at all.

Honestly I think the reason is appealing to the increasingly powerful foreign film markets. That's the big driver.

Plus there's all these Asian American actors who think they're creating the Asian American cultural narrative now, and studios are willing to give them small budgets to have Awkwafina and her gang tell some melancholic and pseuodoprofound story.

This is about curtailing the speech of someone during their own electoral campaign.

Nobody is suggesting that the trial doesn't go forward and is nullified...

The suggestion is that they get to speak freely about the trial as it goes forward and don't have their speech limited.
