This stuff is always hilarious to me. Like you see essentially the entire industry in every country change their designs and materials to what they are now with crumple zones etc with experts in safety and car design. I'm curious about this too and am very skeptical about it once I'd seen reddit praise the policy. The president seems like a complete right wing freak to me and I don't see how just arresting tens of thousands of people does anything to solve the root of the problem.
