I heard she was a blade of some woman named Miquella but we don't get to meet Miquella.

My work uses Tableau. It's a data visualization program, so you can present live data on dashboards, instead of creating weekly powerpoints. My work still creates powerpoints. margot-disgust

I preferred that he opened up dialog with North Korea and it seems to have helped ease tensions. Trump was the only one who could do it, the establishment would never. I think that might be his one redeeming thing. On the other hand, he killed that Iran general and backed out of the nuclear deal, so I guess it was a wash.

EVERYTHING with the democratic machine is cynically and coldly calculated to win the suckers over and get those votes. They don't give a fuck about you, or anyone else. They jumped for joy when Roe v Wade was overturned and started salivating at the thought of exploiting voters over it.

If they actually wanted to do something, they'd remove it, and most of the other drugs from being federally illegal, and provide resources to support drug use rehabilitation.

So I just posted a post about Biden's attempts to censor the internet via the "combating misinformation and disinformation" initiative, for which the Biden admin has been sued, and the mods removed it. Go figure. That place is so propagandized, the userbase never had a chance.

As a leftist, after reviewing decades of Biden's career, vs Trump's, I genuinely believed Trump was less bad than Biden. Not that I voted for either of them, rather, just that Biden is in fact that bad. He's everything that your boomer uncle believed about Jimmy Carter to be true.

I don't think people should be fucking with these psychedelic alkaloids for recreational purposes, many of them result in dangerously high blood pressures.

The rise of Trump is a symptom of backlash against the capitalist system that keeps them oppressed. Trump or another of his type will continue to win, and eventually we'll sink into fascism. The USA's institutes of power long ago decided they'd rather squish anything remotely left, even milquetoast labor unions, to the point that all these people have left is to vote for Trump as a vote against the status quo. I don't begrudge them for it, desperate people doing desperate things, we're in for a hell of a ride over the next 20-30 years, things are going to keep spiraling downwards while the empire burns.

I like looking at the median quintiles for income and wealth, inflation adjusted, the bottom 80% has barely gone up compared to the top 20% over the decades.

Of course there's more behind it, but they're not wrong. Groceries are something people tend to buy on repeat, so they notice when the prices go up.

We've been lied to for decades about inflation (much higher, official numbers are gamed through substitutions), and after covid, the lying was blatant, many items went out 50-100% in less than 2 years and no signs of ever coming down.

I recall in the early 90s, rice was 10 cents a lb, wild caught alaskan pollock 2 dollars a lb (frozen), sirlion steak 2,99 a lb, etc. eggs were 35 cents a dozen, a gallon of milk was 99 cents, turkey was free if you bought 50 dollars in groceries.

All traditionally cheap staple foods are no longer cheap, rice, dried beans, eggs, milk, flour, etc. Used to be you'd be fine if you shopped smart and didn't have a lot of money, those days are long gone, and studies show it's mostly greedflation, not rising costs of production.

If you are in usa and you overpaid on with-holding, then you are fine. You file previous year to get your refunds. If you had owed, you will pay a penalty. Pay them ASAP, the penalty could accrue interest.

Shopping at Walmart is dehumanizing. I loathe going there so much.
