Not overwhelmed so much as after awhile the content in these open world games starts to feel too similar and I lose the motivation to finish. I think going forward I may stick to the "main quest" and only tackle side content if it's genuinely interesting rather than trying to complete everything, which can feel like a chore. I think a lot of it behind being overwhelmed as well is just sheer bloat/filler in some of these games.

It seems no matter how many channels I block there's always more annoying eyesore thumbnails, so this is fantastic.
I'm glad it's a few months release from now because with the ports of Pikmin 1 and 2 this is going to be the summer of Pikmin for me lol
I like a variety of experiences so 20 hours seems about the sweet spot for me per game. Except for multiplayer games, which I can play on and off for years. I'm sure I've accumulated a combined couple thousand hours out of Counterstrike, TF2, and Halo over the years for instance.
I like the internet. It's been integral in my life becoming myself. I've met some of my favorite people through it.
It's my hope that the era of social media comes to an end and the internet transitions back to how it used to be pre 2008 or so (iPhone and Facebook changed things), less centralized and all-consuming. A return to smaller communities as opposed to these larger algorithmic, advertiser-servicing platforms. Discord servers and focused forums. Communities of friends over public places to chase clout. In addition to handy services like shopping, banking, maps, etc. In essence, the internet as a tool rather than a social expectation. Because in many ways it is a really powerful tool, and I don't want to see that go away and I don't think it ever will at this point.
There are cracks showing in the social media model, Twitter and reddit in particular at the moment, but it yet remains a hope that we can turn it back to a more positive thing in our lives.
FF Pixel Remaster marathon by day, Amnesia: The Bunker by night. The latter is a must play for survival horror fans, Frictional nailed it.
Pea soup is my easy go-to meal. Onion and carrot sweated in oil/butter, dried split peas, stock, and bay leaves. Enjoy with quality bread.
Agreed. I'm enjoying seeing a front page filled with discussions on various topics rather than low effort memes copied across countless identical communities.
I just don't see ChatGPT being capable enough quite yet. These articles are going to be low quality, written in the same voice, and filled with factual errors. Not to mention released at a volume that nobody will bother to keep up with. Seems like self destruction on their part.
For the longest time no, it took me years to accept that I'm ace and I felt disappointed that I may be lonely for the rest of my life. But recently I met the most wonderful ace girl whom I wouldn't have met otherwise, so I'm thankful for it now.
