I'm not sure if someone was trying to figure out ways to increase their profitability to avoid getting bought out, or if they were trying to increase their value to make buying them out a more attractive deal, or what.. but there was definitely a whole lot of "wtf are they thinking?" moves at Paramount, just as there were at HBO a year or so ago.

They were definitely flinging options at walls to try to get some kind of effect. But they were doing it with no apparent rhyme nor reason, at least to us out here.

I suspect we'll see another round of readjustments if/when Skydance gets their merger handled. I suspect there's people over there just chomping at the bit to get their hands deep in some Trek productions.

They were too far out for their tractor beam, because they missed due to the jump inaccuracy. The Breen dropped out of warp much closer to it, and were able to snag it with theirs.

perhaps some aspect of her job requires it?

I'd guess Zora didn't want to run the DOTs to clean things up anymore

that... looks like it was a 480p source, playing on a 720 display.

Yeah, it might be just slightly higher quality than the broadcasts originally were, but not much.

On rewatch, I wonder if he was on the way to suggesting someone like Book when he was interrupted

Agree with this, it seemed like he was using Book for context, not for a real suggestion. Saru respects what Booker has done for everyone, but I don't think he's a real big fan of the guy, and certainly doesn't think he should be the XO of a Federation ship.

I could be wrong, though

I'm told that's Bigfoot with a hat on.

Darmok, his spear thrown too early.

I own 2 98's and a 97, the first 98 is now a parts car. Here's my most recent acquisition, I've had it about a year now.

Just grabbed the first part on DVD, as everyone's sold out of Blu-Rays, and I don't even own a functional BR player... plenty of third-party sellers on Amazon seem to have it in stock, whereas Amazon's got it marked as "shipping in 1-2 months" which likely means they are out of stock and hoping to get more, which might not happen.

I'd like to have the rest of it, but I suppose there's always sailing the seas for it.

Yes, you read that wrong :-)

Normally if I'm out, I'm either at one of the casinos, or a rock/metal/alt show at a bar, but every now and then, such as when wanting a 'classy' spot to take a date :-) i'd like to find some old school class, with some horns. Trumpets, saxes, trombones, and so on.

Someone today suggested Cliff Bell's, downtown, to me. Any other suggestions?

Thanks!

... i caught them finding an open box for the first time that I'm aware of ... so adorable

Sox found it first, sniffed around, then jumped in, and Nox came running like OMG WHAT THE HELL IS THAT IT ATE SOX, and then he realized it was ok, and he forced his way in, and she had to go up.

The sub says post pictures, but I'm hoping discussion is Ok too :)

Situation: Have had a cat (Barney) for about 10 years. We brought a second cat into the house that we rescued off the street (Lou) back in 2019, but Lou was not well, and passed away in 2020. Barney mostly ignored Lou, but would occasionally get kind of close to him. If Lou approached Barney, Barney would just walk away and watch him from a distance.

Had to rescue a pair of young cats (about a year old when we got them fixed in January, the vet said), Nox and Sox. They've been in the house since late March or early April.

Barney constantly hisses at them if he sees them, runs far, far away. This attracts the interest of the youngsters, who come running to him to check him out, and this always starts a fight. When the fight begins, Barney runs away as fast as possible, screaming and ejecting as much fur as possible (i didn't know cats could do that, but apparently they can... )

How do I help them to co-exist in the same house? We kept them apart for almost 3 months, and tried to introduce Barney slowly to them once they were comfortable with the environment, but he wants absolutely nothing to do with them so long as they exist.

I don't know what to do :(

I’m not seeing much activity from any Michigan SRA. And none in or around Kalamazoo area.

Does anyone know if there is any active groups?
