I guess that's fair, except the bit about "poorly documented". It's one of those things though, where you look back and think "yeah that was definitely worth learning".

Asking out of curiosity, why are you so averse to using the terminal?

I don't know, I suspect if a white kid threw a rock at a cop here and got shot there would be a sizable number of

"Play stupid games.." smuglord posts

Remember the white guy who got shot AFTER the police said on recording that he was holding a PHONE and one of the defenses used was "The phone could have been used to activate a bomb"? After that I'm ready to believe that USians would side with the cops no matter what.

You know those earplugs with the small hole down the middle and like 4 sections? You can still hear people talk pretty well with them in IME.

The first movie fell flat primarily, as every dune fan will tell you, because it stopped before anything actually happened. Also, as any dune fan will tell you, it's kind of not movie-able in a way, because being stoic and playing your cards close to your chest is the way all the dialogue is. Like 2/3rds of the book is internal monologue though which explains the actual depth of what's being said and done from the perspective of everyone in the scene. Again I'm not saying anything that hasn't been said a million times before.

I'm really liking the soundtrack as well! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AgzE2TeXCl0 It's just something cool to watch on my 4k HDR TV I stole from the dump. (It has a tiny purple line of pixels that are always on through the middle and that's the only thing wrong with it)

It's like this but then if you read through god emperor and then think about it for another month it starts to make sense.

What's in your chili? A pressure cooker has been a game changer for me. I usually make mine a little on the watery side and then throw in a handful of soy curls or TVP. It's so low effort at this point it feels like cheating.

I'm loving the new dune movies, but you really have to have read the books first because it's basically like a disney world ride through the setting of the books more than a retelling of the story. Taken that way it's excellent. However I don't see how they expect audiences to have a clue what is going on if they're new to dune.

I felt the same way about the live action cowboy bebop on netflix.
