All my current boards have 3d printed cases so I don’t have much to compare it to. I’ve also been thinking about different plate materials and seeing how they change the sound profile, but haven’t actually started building anything yet. Chewiedies on Printables has designed gasket-mount 3d printable cases for a number of boards, which I want to try out before I start designing anything new.

As far as I understand it, never, unless someone makes an API proxy. They both use activitypub for federation but the client side API is totally different.

Haven't tried the KS-33 browns yet. I have some of the aloe and wisteria switches but no board to put them in yet (this one is soldered). The KS-27 browns are good but not amazing. I think they'd be better lubed, and I might even prefer a slightly lighter spring.

The closest thing I have to compare with is Choc Sunsets, which I thought were underwhelming out of the box, but are awesome with a 35g spring swap and lube. Considering the price though, the Gateron switches are a great value. I'd love to see more boards supporting them.

I have a few keyboards I use regularly but this is my current favorite. KLOR by GEIST, KS-27 version and case by Sadek Baroudi. The keycaps are my own design and printed in resin on my Photon Mono 4k. More info about the keycap profile soon 😉

Trackball is an Elecom Deft Pro, with the bearings replaced with ZrO2 bearings (easy mod, took 10 minutes and cost less than $10). The size and shape is perfect for my hands, it has lots of buttons, and the battery lasts for months. I wish it had a scroll ring instead of or in addition to the scroll wheel, but aside from that it's near perfect.
