Not OP - their smugness didn't help and you can use whatever means of transport you prefer. But to be fair, I do know people who have kids and use a cargo bike to do everything. This is a viable option for many city-dwellers. Sadly, we are still very car dependant in Canada for longer trips since rail between cities has been underinvested in and suburban sprawl is out of control.

I have seen accounts that haven't posted in over 2 years appear immediately after the election was called and aggressively criticise Trudeau / ape for Poilievre.
Now is not the time to be discussing moving the border, a topic which was started by trump in the context of threats to our sovereignty. I don't find this funny and see it in poor taste.
Suburbs tend to be more conservative than cities. I suppose they can also be more progressive than rural ridings though?
This is a reminder for whoever needs to hear this that DEI does not mean setting quotas on hiring by race. That is a myth.
Instead, it's making sure that people of all races and genders are informed about the job opportunity so they have a chance to apply too. The best talent is then hired.
Today, DEI is used as a dogwhistle by MAGA who hates seeing genders and races other than their in-group at their workplace.
DEI is a dogwhistle for people who can't use the hard R at this point...
The hero we need.
Depends on the province. Ontario is underfunded and has serious issues exacerbated by our conservative former-hash-dealer and long-time Trump supporter Premier who wants to privitize it. Alberta healthcare is a mess from MAGA Danielle Smith trying to privitize too.
We should care for our elders, yes. They also have the lowest poverty rates in the country while young people are experiencing the worst poverty and unempyment rates with a bleak future. Our society is so wealthy. Healthcare should be a human right no matter your age.
Now if only we could force that federal liberal government to tax the rich and expand pharmacare, dental care, and cover mental health care.
fairvote.ca needs to put bluesky links on their website! It appears they're using the Mastodon bridge already which is nice to see.
