It's not a common element. And because it floats, it's quickly lost to space once released.

We could technically make more with Hydrogen and nuclear fusion, or fissile products, but the price of man-made Helium would probably be about ten million fold more. It has a variety of useful properties that range from expensive to impossible to replace with other gases, namely its thermal properties, its inertness and being lighter-than-air.

Is anybody actually getting hostile about that?

Eat chewy savory protein as much as you please, I ain't stop you. But my issue is implying these foods are a healthy option when there's no doubt that most fake meats are heavily processed, full of weird shit, and relatively unhealthy compared to some cooler vegan dishes.

Mullvad's willingness (and encouragement) to not even have a credit card payment on file earns them a lot of trust from me.

It means that, unlike basically every other VPN out there, they're willing to have literally 0 information about you, and even being surveilled from the VPN server itself wouldn't be enough to determine your identity.

Voting for the lesser evil is how democracy got here, to this point, where you think you're voting for a president who supports one genocide instead of two. And even if that were true, you're implying that's somehow a moral action.

There is quite literally only one way to try effect a halt to the inevitable but popularly unwanted support of genocides, and that's to demand an alternative to the two-party dictatorship. By vote, protest and any other means possible.

Quote is too generous. 'A or B' is not being master of the country, nor is anyone really favored during canvassing either.

That being said, it shows what an incredibly low bar western democracy doesn't clear.

Trump fucking sucks, no doubt, but the scaremongering is off the rails. Trump was already president and was basically as ineffectual as any president, with a bit more racism.

Every single election cycle it's suddenly painted as a life-or-death situation to vote Biden, seemingly just to shut up anyone who actually wants to criticise the system as a whole.

THEN I DO IT WITH YOUR BLESSING. Time to raise another country to Socialist glory and start the global revolution again! Maybe I'll have a command economy and deliberately crash global grain prices.. That'd make 'em all dependent on me..

People in here are really arguing that sure Biden is directly and very actively funding a genocide and moving mountains to make that happen. But Trump would be funding a genocide even harder so vote Biden!!!!

What does it fucking take for a lib to realise the system is broken? Because apparently openly and borderline explicitly conspiring to commit genocide is not enough.

I read Grapes of Wrath a few years ago after enjoying Of Mice and Men from school. I'm not bad with reading but I wasn't sure how far I'd get with the thickness of it, then I finished it real quickly.

But it was a gripping book and is certainly upfront about the problems of capitalism. If your family is that politically illiterate then it may fly under the radar, as Steinbeck doesn't use explicit capitalism/communism terminology, just more a factual description of what people/systems of people are doing.

cross-posted from: https://hexbear.net/post/52. Lemme kick it off with the still top rated post on hexbear.net, probably worth restating for our federation friends too.

edit: this post has gained a lot of traction over the course of the last three months so I believe some clarification is needed

this title is indeed a land of contrast, and i think the following statement should do a better job at voicing what I really meant with this post:

people who think they can own one or several human beings and treat them as their property or capital do indeed deserve to die, preferably sooner than later, and not of natural causes; helping accelerate this process by loading a rifle with ammunition, pointing it at a slave owner and pulling the trigger is a good idea and should be done when possible. hopefully this clarified the stuff

The post that announces the death of Henry Alfred Kissinger better overtake this one as the most upvoted post.

edit:edit:The killing slavers fandom is dying! Upbear to murder a plantation owner right now!
