A few days ago one of his lawyers was using a Republic of Gamers RGB-enabled gaming laptop, and everyone started pointing it out https://knowyourmeme.com/memes/donald-trump-gaming-laptop

So she showed up in court yesterday without a computer, sticking to a pad and paper ( ft.com link https://archive.is/rHUMJ )

Sort of cyberbullied in to not using her cool machine.

The Dropbox is just a remote backup container. The backup is automated , gathers files from a few locations, dumps them in an encrypted box and push them to Dropbox once a day. The encryption bit is just for some other files which are not encrypted in their natural state.

Printing this page as PDF, set page size to A4 , scaling 100% ( default ) https://www.economist.com/leaders/2023/09/07/chinas-belt-and-road-initiative-will-keep-testing-the-west

First bar graph is split across page 2 & 3.

Pick any article from the economist, which has graphs or charts and it will happen , same with ft.com, Bloomberg.

The website is responsible for providing a print layout, but the browser should be smarter and assume that the website was made by obstinate toddlers.

Prints fine on Chromium & Edge. The inferior browsers move the "image" so it does not span pages.

Before anyone gets upset , my default browser on all devices is Firefox.

Apple provides exactly the same service(s) and now with their advertising division, ad slots to the higher bidder too.

But they are portrayed as Jesus while Google is Lucifer.

The default has become Google = bad. It's also fashionable to blame them for all evils . 🀷

I won't be using their VPN because I already paid someone else for a 3 year plan, not because Google is bad.

That was and is a legitimate concern, and I totally stand with their decision. But it could have been handled by making changes to the user interface, blue send button is encrypted , red send button is plain text. By removing sms support people who are unable to use multiple apps moved to other options.

Cannot get grandma to use three different communication apps.

Well it was the signal teams toy , we were just allowed to play with it. 🀷

My friends started getting rid of Signal when Signal dropped SMS support. As soon as it stopped being the default SMS application, it got uninstalled. Nice own goal.

Now Signal only lives on for me due to the signal-cli project. Once I can find a working google-messages cli setup to send and receive reports to/from a specific device , goodbye Signal 😿

There is also a Google messages application, that can be minimised to tray. It is just a browser wrapper, but at least saves you the hassle of opening and closing and logging in everytime.

Maybe some day we can send messages between Teams & iMessage.

Could some kind soul, archive.is the ft.com link please. archive.is seems to hate my ISP
