EDIT: My initial comment is hardly constructive, so I will add that these people are teaching you their rules to stop living by everyone else's rules. It's silly, really.
I'm not going to claim that there might not be some constructive ideas they will throw out, but they are the product and you are the consumer. The only thing free is the publicity for themselves. You on the other hand are investing your time, and they also hope you then invest your money in their media and programs.
Maybe this is still valuable for some, I can't really deny that as well. But I think the whole thing is insincere on the part of the personalities involved.
