Whizzer and Chips was my favourite comic, but which side were you on?

Crikey! Shots fired!! I wasn't expecting this community to get into controversial topics so quickly!

I remember an annual my dad had from the early 70s that was at least 4x more pages.

I’d spend literal hours staring at those double page spreads. Loved it.

Seeing this post makes me so happy. I used to get the conic every Saturday and the annual every Christmas for around a decade starting roughly in 83.

I used to ask my school friends the same question but I never met anyone who read the comic.

Just a few months ago, I went to my parents to dig some of my gear out of the loft expecting it to be damaged. It turns out what I was looking for was in a cupboard in perfect condition along with all my Whizzer & Chips annuals! So happy to see them again.

Oh, I was a Whizz kid as well. 😊

Yeah, I had a massive box of them, my sister started getting it (I think somebody bought one for her when she was ill) and later on I was getting it myself along with most of the monthlies. I only appear to have two annuals, I don't think I got rid of any, but I know my big box of comics and monthlies went to a distant relative - they had been sealed up since moving in 1992, I had progressed by then to Your Sinclair 😊.
