I stumbled upon this community for the first time a few minutes ago. I like gardening and houseplants, but never heard of people recretionally growing mushrooms of the non-magical kind. Is it for food?

I grew some oyster mushrooms from pre spawned compost. I liked watching them and then harvesting them after about 10 days. They went great with pasta, butter, and garlic

Why wouldn't you grow them. They are really tricky but very rewarding. Completely different than growing from seeds. Plus you get mushrooms st the end.
