If they cared about privacy they would pass a bill requiring all websites to have an I2P mirror.
It is all about protecting the power monopoly of the banking mafia, the state is just the tool the banks use to keep their position secure.

Canada has an 'Online Harms' bill, just like the UK (same name, kinda sus). Promises to be extra draconian.

Accomplishing that would require encryption be broken ..."
