A nice place to discuss rumors, happenings, innovations, and challenges in the technology sphere. We also welcome discussions on the intersections of technology and society. If it’s technological news or discussion of technology, it probably belongs here.

Remember the overriding ethos on Beehaw: Be(e) Nice. Each user you encounter here is a person, and should be treated with kindness (even if they’re wrong, or use a Linux distro you don’t like). Personal attacks will not be tolerated.

Hey all technology people!

Not my community, but I thought I'd advertise someone else's new lemmy community to see if anyone else is interested.

Head over to [email protected] for BBSes and retrocomputing.

[email protected] is also pretty active. sdf itself has been around for a long time and is pretty retro (other niche communities there too).

Linking to Lemmy communities is always a problem, the links should be automatically converted or the average user would never be able to subscribe from their instance, especially on mobile

Any mechanical keyboards communities out there?

To get to the community from your instance, go to https://YOURINSTANCEHOSTNAMEHERE/c/[email protected]

/c/[email protected] should turn into a clickable link.

Edit. Maybe not... at least not on the android app. Let's try this?

Edit: the latter (relative link using markdown, [this](/c/[email protected])) "works" on the web version but 404's (probably because nobody has tried the community from that server yet, or defederation) but crashes the current version of the app, and the plain text version doesn't work on either :/
