No politics please. Don't be a dick.
It was supposed to be date night tonight (me cooking) but the missus is feeling poorly so it's postponed. There is a gathering at the pub tonight so I might sneak along, but we have an early start tomorrow as we're visiting my grandmother in North Wales....so might be better off flaking out on the sofa.
I'm still cooking. Fresh linguini, mussles, king prawns and squid to be washed down with a chilled Pouilly-Fumé. 👌
Well I'm 5 days into Dry January and I want a beer and some weed dammit! But they're gonna start drug testing at work so gotta stay strong, not as if it's gonna be bad for me is it?
We've just been to a high class pizza joint for date night because we're picking the kids up from Grandma's tomorrow. My IBS has been terrible so when we left I ripped the loudest fart once we were out on the street and this couple on the other side of the road both stopped and looked at me. IDGAF it was HURTING ME. I've just bought some probiotics to help with that.
Tomorrow it's a 3 HR + round trip to get the kids, the + is because it's in the Midlands which have been hit by the flooding so it might be fun.
Sunday is crazy golf apparently.
I'm most looking forward to sleeping in a bit this weekend. Dry January has fucked my sleep SO BAD.
That bottle of Kraken someone brought on NYE is calling my name... Ssshhhhh little one, I'll drink you next month.
Maintenance weekend just focusing on chores and tidying stuff I've left through the Xmas period, gotta do it sometime! Least my bank account will be relieved...
Waiting for a new head unit for the car so I can use CarPlay. Hoping I have enough tools/patience to install it! Then we’ll need to go for a drive to test it out. Suggestions for a day trip from East London (that isn’t currently flooded)?
Finally made it up into roof area to see where rain water is getting in... seems a slate has blown off in the high wind. Not a job for me to fix, I hate heights.
