I'm still working on the beta and aim to get something out to people this week and as part of that I've been working on some of the alternate icons that will be included in Bean at launch. Let me know what you think.
The icons are my favorite part of the app so far.
I love rainbow icons and think all apps should have them.

Currently using Memmy and it is pretty good. But always looking for a better app that can stand up to the legacy of Apollo for Reddit.
Then you'd feel at home with wefwef. It's specifically intended to be an apollo replacement
I’m also using Memmy and something feels off to wefwef for me. I don’t what specifically but wefwef feels… I don’t want to say worse but something feels off
Memmy is currently my go-to because it’s the only one that greys out read posts so far.

They changed the name to voyager. https://wefwef.app/ is the link. It can be “installed” from settings. It’s a pwa so installing it just opens the link but it’s convenient.
Really digging the app so far, and I have a feeling this will be the one I switch to permanently in the near future.
Looking at the icons, I just wanted to offer some constructive criticism. In addition to the bean, maybe there is a way to tie in Lemmy or the Fediverse. Another “bean-based” app I use is called TinyBeans, which is used to do things like track your kids’ growth and save memories. Their logo incorporates the bean plus the “growth” concept. Including their logo for reference. Again, just a thought! Thanks for all of your efforts!
This was actually the initial idea for the name! I thought of like a beanstalk but there was already an app with that name on the store.
I’ll be visiting the icons again once I’ve got the app to a place where I’m really happy with it — likely once it’s available on the store.
