I will routinely forget what I ordered. My husband asks "Oh, what's that?" and is still surprised when I say "No clue." It is kind of like opening presents...

Opening the packages is always a nice surprise, but checking the bank account never is.

Ooph, I feel this, I almost just got in an argument with my husband again about money spent...I'm going to go hide my credit card from myself now.

It's like Christmas all year round! I see nothing wrong with this! 😃

This is especially worse for me when I order late night from aliexpress. Two week later I get cheap trinkets randomly.

No kidding. I just received a Nicolas Cage pickle Christmas ornament that I bought at like 2am last week haha

Why is everything in this community is so damn relatable!! 😫

No joke, ND communities online have probably saved my life. All the things I thought made me a loser or think I'm a bad person (e.g. I'm not thoughtless, I have a different brain than you..) ... Nope.. just not typical.

I get so fucking manic when I don't sleep for a day or two. I once listened to the Magnus archives for 12 hours straight and sent like 2 million texts to everyone I knew ranting about it. I literally had to tell someone about how much I fucking loved it at that moment. I think sometimes I don't sleep because I'm trying to reach that high

I don't really buy things but I'll get absolutely obsessed with certain media or history. I'll never reach such an incredibly flood of dopamine without sleep deprivation.

I've been up for two days straight again, and amazingly stopped myself from hunting down individual, vintage mugs that would personally match all of my online friends, and setting up an early morning grocery delivery order for nothing but snacks and almond milk. I might still make the mug gifting thing happen though, when I'm ADHD sobered up.

The problem with adhd high is that it doesn't require anything to begin, you just wake up in the morning and boom it's there

The "buy unnecessary things" really hits me during the insomnia, when I've reached the sleep deprived but kickin somehow high, and all I wanna do is pace or bounce in a chair, find neat stuff, or finally click pay on those things I really should get for the house sitting in all the open tabs

Ritaline really knocked down my insomnia, I'm so tired in the evening I fall asleep easily

That's great to hear! I'm glad you found some relief. I finally go in for medication soon, after months of appointments and evals, and I'd be thrilled to get anything close to a normal sleep routine as a perk of the meds.

Getting used to life on meds takes a little bit but I hope they will help you as much as they help me :)

Very relatable. It makes gift giving easy for my SO. Post-Halloween if something that piqued my interest, I would tell him “whoa, that’ll make a good Christmas gift.” By Christmas I forgot what I suggested…until I opening gifts and I was like “oh yeah, nice!!”
