Very friendly birds up there, one followed me for a bit then later had a partner follow him down to greet me, perched 12 ft away.
Assuming it's a gray jay, but I'm no expert in this field.
Very cool that they're comfortable enough to get close to you. I'm not from the US but Grey Jay seems like a pretty good estimate
Name was changed to Canada Jay in 2018. Can be found in every Canadian province and territory from coast to coast to coast.
