Looking at various ebike incentives throughout Canada, and I was shocked by how much you could get back. We're talking $1000 in some cases, or more for cargo bikes.

Since Ontario is anti-bike, we don't have incentives like that, but I could see them having a huge impact on ebike adoption.

Do you have ebike incentives where you live? If so, did it enable you (or does it interest you) to get an ebike?

My brother in BC used it to get a really good ebike.

I live in Ontario though :(

I'm sure a ton of us in Ontario would get one and at least offload some of our car trips with an e-bike.

It looks like Durham Region is trying to put together a rebate program, but I'm not optimistic.

Well even though rumors aren't as good as the real thing. There's been no such discussion in Ottawa

It depends on the state in the U.S. Federal rebate bills have been introduced, but they have never gone anywhere. My state, Indiana, has no rebate. Which is unsurprising because Republicans dominate this formerly purple state's legislature due to gerrymandering.

Man, some of those rebates are insulting. "The Eastern Iowa Light & Power Cooperative offers a post-purchase rebate of 25%, up to $150".

And some are only valid for low income residents who trade in their car. Like, WTF? Get as many people as you can out of their cars by offering rebates to EVERYONE .Don't force poor families to take a risk by losing their only main form of transportation for a bike.

Yeah. It's utter bullshit. Especially when you can get much bigger rebates, even percentagewise, if you get a Tesla.

Apparently Rhode Island does! Like 2 grand! I’m now going to buy an e-bike! So glad you let me know this was a thing!
