Windows is getting really annoying to use as a power user.

Or as a user that values privacy and does not want to be annoyed by ads. Not to mention all the bloat. So glad I switched to GNU/Linux with KDE Plasma desktop years ago, when Windows wasn't even as bad as it is today.

Omg privacy. Yes how could I forget about that. It's awfull on windows. It's so pushy for all ist services. Installed win10 pro for my dad and it constantly nags him to create a Microsoft account and to turn on telemetry and adds. I had to do a whole bunch of reg edits and group policy changes to stop it and I still didn't fully succeed. One day it'll probably install win11 by itself regardless and I hate it so much. Terrible ux for my dad who just does basic things on a pc but wants his privacy respected.

I also switch my own daily driver laptop to Ubuntu with I3wm for desktop environment and I'll never look back. Much more clean experience and fun to use. Still uses windows on my gaming pc but with steam picking up on gaming on Linux it probably won't be long before I switch that too.

It’s terrible. I especially hate how everything tries to get you to link accounts or identify yourself, and it is next to impossible to undo it. My own private PC is now ‘managed’ by my work, because I signed in to Teams or something…
