Is this for a standalone application or VSTs for using with a DAW? https://audioz.download/ might be a good place to look.

Have a look out for Amplitube.

Thanks. Do you have experience with metal amp sims? I'm looking for black metal tones.

No sorry, I mainly use them as effects with synths.

Amplitube is great, I really like BIAS as well.

I personally use Guitarix, and better than pirated, something can be only FOSS. And Guitarix is FOSS

I use BiasFX2, and it's pretty okay for me. The tone cloud seems to be lacking of content nowadays (maybe it's harder to search)

If you wanna use opensource + deep learning amp simulators, there is Neural Amp Modeler I've never used it (even though I downloaded and it's sitting in my folder for a year now), but it seems like you just need to feed it with the wav of the guitar tone you want.

Amplitube 3 and Bias fx both have readily available torrents. I was happy enough with old versions of Amplitube that I purchased Amplitube 5 and have been really happy with it. They have plenty of metal rigs, but I haven't personally used them as I mostly stick with the tweed and plexi stuff.

Neural DSP is another paid option but everything I've heard is that they're the cream of the crop for metal tones. They also offer a 14 day trial.

I used line6 podfarm for a loooong time. And to be honest it's perfectly adequate. These days I use guitar rig by native instruments just because I have komplete 10 and it feels new and fresh(to me), but it basically does the same thing.

The only people that will complain about your tone is other guitarists. But if your music isn't for them...just choose something that will put you in the right ballpark and your listeners will not know the difference.
