How good are they though?

I really like mine. I have had them just over a year now. They only feature I wish they had is wireless charging.
They are supposed to be more comfortable in your ear, but they are the same shape as the OG buds and those were so uncomfortable my ear had to get callous for the rubber that goes in before it was decent. From what I read they made the rubber piece better though. If you can pay for it pixel buds pro design is 100x better and has wireless charging.
I was fortunate to get the Pixel Buds A-Series for free when I purchased a Pixel 7a phone (and that was a nice bonus). They are the first ear buds I have gotten, so I can't give comparison feedback with other buds.
The in-ear fit for me is very good, and the wings provide a secure fit during activity. Sound quality is generally good, and the bass and volume EQ settings increase the depth of sound. I turned off the Adaptive Sound feature, as it was more annoying then helpful when it automatically increased the volume in noisy environments. There is no volume control on the buds, so you need to manage that on your connected device.
Just bought mine on Prime Day, loving them so far paired up with my Pixel 7!
